In 2025, Arts Council Malta will begin consultations for a new strategy, as the current one concludes.
The Funding and Strategy Directorate is excited about the upcoming year, offering a variety of established funding schemes, such as those supporting education, artistic heritage, and creative enterprise. In addition to funding, the Directorate is focusing on strategic initiatives, including research and the creation of an artists’ charter. It is exploring the potential for a basic income for artists and working with the Ministry for Education to introduce creative coordinators in schools across Malta and Gozo, aiming to strengthen arts and culture education.
