In this first exhibition of works by leading Maltese abstract painter Alfred Chircop since his passing in 2015, curators Dr Christian Attard, Dr Mark Sagona, and Dr Charlene Vella have assembled around seventy pieces by Chircop and his most notable contemporaries. The exhibition, organised into thematic sections, explores Chircop’s enduring creative struggle and draws parallels between his works and those of other artists, while establishing unexpected dialogues between pieces created in Malta, Italy, and England.

The event is organised by The Alfred Chircop Trust in collaboration with the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Malta. It is made possible through the support of Heritage Malta, Prevarti Art Restoration and Conservation, db Foundation, The Farsons Foundation, Mapfre MSV Life, and Visit Malta.
